During their first four years of study, students, whether they come from university or business school, follow a common-core syllabus generally related to their professional project.

Even though the students of 3A enrich this training with an intercultural and development dimension - indispensable elements today for entrepreneurs throughout the planet -, the objective of the 5th year "G8 & Good Governance" is to offer students additional in-depth knowledge on the manner in which the G8 is dealing with the challenges of Globalization.

Why use the term "Good Governance"?

The respect for the primacy of law, the efficient management of public matters, the fight against corruption, the regard of human rights or the promotion of democracy are all inherent principles of good governance, which is often defined as the way in which a power manages the economic and social resources of a country to support its development.

To get to grips with these new practices, it is vital that we understand the inner workings of large international institutions as well as the economic models followed by the G8 countries that direct the strategy and policy of the IMF, the World Bank and the WTO…

The 5th year targets two professional objectives:

  • To enable students who already have a firm grounding of the issues affecting the Southern continents or have already worked in this region to gain a greater understanding of the way the Northern hemisphere deals with the Southern hemisphere's problems.
  • To enable students or professionals to further their knowledge with the aim of acquiring a second area of competency, which might be the case for specialists in law, transport, finance, marketing, etc.

Consequently, teaching is centered on two fundamental areas:

  • A common-core syllabus that allows students to acquire techniques and tools that are essential for anyone wanting to hold key positions with an analysis and research aspect.
  • A choice of two concentrations (Project Management and Supply Chain Management), taught in English for the most part, that will complement the main syllabus and give students a very hands-on specialization for their future careers.
