Field Coordinators are the people who oversee the operation in the field.

• They: Direct the team's work, implement intervention strategies,
• determine priorities on the use of funds, negotiate with authorities,
• coordinate relations with potential partners,
• recruit local staff, define programs, plan and supervise the activities for which they are responsible,
• act as the point-of-contact with the head of mission for important programs and with the base if they are acting as head of mission, in order to define the general direction of the mission.
