Advertising Managers are responsible for promoting a product's brand image. They choose the most appropriate advertising points and media for the product (billboards, mail campaigns, the press, television) after they have targeted the clientele in question and the market characteristics. They are responsible to the client for keeping the planned budget and for carrying out the advertising program according to the objectives established. They must reconcile technical, creative and financial needs. Willingness to travel is a must in this job, especially at the beginning of one's career. Advertising managers work in agencies, advertising departments or for the advertiser.
